It’s autumn, and that means it’s time to curl up on the sofa with a blanket and watch scary movies.
But it is also a time of the year when we crave sweet treats and trips to cafés or creperies for a hot chocolate or a sweet and warm snack are what will make the difference in a great plan.
That’s why we bring you two recipes that will surprise your customers.
AUTUMN BLUEBERRY PANCAKES
First of all, here’s a recipe for blueberry pancakes that will warm you up on a chilly autumn evening.
Ingredients:
- 1 kg of our pancake mix base
- 1 litre of water
- Blueberries (about 1 cup)
How to prepare the pancakes?
- First, mix the base with the water at moderate speed for 3 minutes.
- Then let the mixture stand for about 30 minutes. If you are not going to use it right away (or if you have leftover mixture) you can store it for up to 48 hours in the fridge.
- Pour a ladle measure into the buttered frying pan or crepe pan and add some blueberries.
- When bubbles start to rise to the top, flip the pancake over and wait until golden brown (about two minutes on each side).
- Then remove from the heat and serve on their own, with icing sugar or your favourite syrup.
WHITE CHOCOLATE BROWNIE WITH SWEET SWEET POTATO ICE CREAM
This recipe is ideal for both dessert and a special snack, it takes a little more work than the previous recipe, but it’s amazing and the warm brownie with the more autumnal ice cream is a combination that will blow everyone away.
Ingredients:
- 200 gr white chocolate
- 100 g butter
- 4 eggs
- 100 g sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla essence
- 80 g wheat flour
- 100 g walnuts
- 50 ml condensed milk
- ½ tablespoon of bicarbonate of soda
- 1 bag of our Purple Yam ice cream base
- 2.5 litres of milk
To prepare the brownie we will follow the following steps:
- First, melt the white chocolate together with a little butter. We will put it in the microwave for 4 minutes, but we will take it out and stir it to make sure it doesn’t burn.
- While the chocolate is melting, beat the eggs with the sugar and vanilla. When it is ready, add the chocolate (wait until it is not too hot), the flour and the condensed milk.
- Then add the bicarbonate and pour the batter into the greased or parchment-covered baking tin.
- Finally, add the chopped walnuts and bake in the oven for 35 minutes at 180º.
- Tip for preparing the brownie: sieve the flour and incorporate it little by little so that there are no lumps of raw flour when you finish the brownie.
To prepare the ice cream, mix the base with the milk in the ice cream maker. If this is your first time preparing artisan ice cream for your restaurant or cafeteria, we will inform you about the production process.
